Now, we'll talk about Georgia's lesser-known, however equally stunning regions.


Starting with Guria - is a region that is hardly recognized by foreigners. Usually, people go to the famous spots like Kakheti, Gudauri, Kazbegi, Mtskheta and Batumi. But Guria has a lot more to offer with beautiful nature that you can’t get enough of. Guria is in the western section of Georgia, bordering the Black Sea's eastern end. The famous myth of the Golden Fleece, where the Kingdom of Colchis was, That land is now called Guria. As early as the fifth century BC, the region was a major source of iron, as well as copper and gold. The term "Guria '' first appeared in Pseudo-c. Juansher's 800 Georgian chronicle. Guria is separated into two portions by nature: lowlands and mountains. Borjomi is a resort town in the central area of Georgia, located in the region of Samtskhe-Javakheti. Just a little over 2 hours away from the capital, Tbilisi.
